Roaster's Comment:
Well, itβs always exciting to release a Geisha from each origin. El Salvador has always been one of those underrated origins for growing Geisha. I was lucky enough to taste this coffee alongside a few other lots from El Salvador, and the Geisha obviously stood out the most.
This coffee has a lot of sweetness and plenty of body. I think those are the qualities that define it best.
This particular sack of coffee travelled back with me from my Sydney trip, took a detour through MPI, and now we finally get to enjoy its fruitfulness together.

About the Coffee:
Finca Plan del Hoyo is a high elevation estate in the Apaneca region of El Salvador, owned and operated by Francisco De Sola. The farm spans 100 hectares, with coffee planted on select parcels of fertile volcanic soil and surrounded by timber land. Cherries are harvested between January and March and carefully processed on site, with a strong focus on precision, cleanliness, and consistency. Despite challenges such as labour availability and heavy seasonal rains, the farm is deeply invested in the future of specialty coffee and producing expressive, high-quality lots.
This Gesha is processed as a natural, dried whole cherry on raised African beds. The process enhances fruit depth and sweetness while allowing the Gesha varietyβs signature elegance to remain intact. The result is a cup that is aromatic, refined, and layered rather than heavy or overripe.
