Roaster's Comment: When I first cupped this coffee, I knew there was something special about it. I did my homework, which gave me even more confidence in making this decision. This coffee has featured in multiple competitions and performed exceptionally well. At Eternal, we want to build a bridge that makes competitors’ coffees accessible here in New Zealand and this marks our very first competition coffee from the world stage.
From Finca El Placer, Quindío, comes a Geisha that has already taken the world stage. Crafted by Sebastián Ramírez, a fourth-generation producer and fermentation innovator, this lot delivers clarity, elegance, and unforgettable character.
Why it’s special:
Fermented 48 hours in sealed CO₂ tanks at 18 °C → Washed in oxygen-rich water → Slow-dried 20 days in shade + 5 in a parabolic dryer. Every step fine-tuned to bring out bright citrus, floral lift, and spice complexity.
